I'm sorry to hear about sophie though  It's always hard when a pet dies, no matter how long you've had them for. Good luck with your new puppy! *Thumbs up* |

ugh...to add to the drama...
Everyone at work suggested I just get my money back and buy a new puppy from a reputable breeder or get a rescue (I work at Petsmart) So I called the breeder and asked if I could simply get refunded. He seemed very offended then said he would only give me my 300$ if I provided proof as to why she died. In other words, an Atopsy. Well...I don't have the money for something like that, and even if I did do it it would take 3-4 weeks just to get the results.
I'm really frustrated with this whole mess. I just want a healthy pom :/ This breeder is getting on my last nerve. I just found out that it is illegal in Ohio to sell a puppy under 8 weeks old.....

I'm sorry about what happened to Sophie. Did you ever get the situation resolved?
For the record, it should be illegal in every state to sell or give away any puppy under eight weeks old. Yes they're so much cuter then, which is why a lot of disreputable breeders do it, but it's terribly bad for the pup...and it leads to a lot of emotional issues that are hard to train out of them in later years.
I hope you found a new happy, healthy puppy for your home.

That is really sad, I'm so sorry. Breeders can be awful like that. Our neighbors bought an American Bull Dog, and it's about two years old now, I think, and it's got some awful hip problem. All they can do is give him pain meds since the surgery is too expensive and might not work anyway. They wanted their money back from the breeder and the breeder offered to take their dog back and replace it. What the hell, right?

I cannot think of anything sadder than baby animals dying. I got two kittens earlier this year, just farm moggies not pedigree or anything and I got them for free, but if anything happened to them my heart would break.
