Just wondering, a lot of people on the shoutbox seemed to play WoW, so...do you play? And if you do, what do you play? What do you like to play?
My main is a lvl 64 NE druid I have a ton of alts, but the highest lvl one is 11 T_T
Since I only ever play in a group of 4 we all kind of have to multitask, so I end up playing tank, dps and occasionally emergency healer/rezzer XD The farthest I've gotten is Slave Pens and that was pretty hilarious (especially the giant crab) but we made it through!
I apologize if nobody knows what the hell I'm going on about!
(And if anybody's wondering, I'll post another half-finished version of my WoW pic soon I have no time to work on it these days >_<) _________________

This made me realize, we're in need of a Gaming section.
As for me, I don't play. Never really gotten into MMO. Tend to play for a week or two, then i get bored. _________________ "Am I a man? Yes... Technically I am." |

Gaming section would be a good idea, at the same time, I don't mind a topic like this here, because just cause this is the FW forum doesn't mean every topic has to do with the comic ...and more importantly because I get easily bewildered by a fast-moving section like the Tomgeeks GD and I don't mind the slower pace here!
Pally and lock is a pretty good team! We play druid, hunter (the pet off-tanks ), shaman and priest XD |

Well to be honest I'm not sure all of the tomgeeks visits this part of the forum, and that a WoW-thread probably would be more appropriate in a gaming section. And I can agree about the (at least sometimes) insane pace in the GD.
Also I thought that this section was supposed to be about Fey Winds. _________________ "Am I a man? Yes... Technically I am." |

Many of the Fey Winds readers play Wow (At least, according to what I saw on FW's shoutbox). Even tho a « Gaming Section (with a thread about wow in it) » would be a great idea, I don't see the problem of having « Fey winds » readers/small community talking about wow in here.
I do think this section has been made so the FW readers can talk about FW and other stuffs without necessarily having to get lost into the sea (soon to become ocean) of threads.
For my part, I have a lvl 70 hunter I stopped playing long time ago (pvp freak) and a lvl 64 (now main - also hunter) I play with nicoleC and friends.
Doing all instances with a group of 4 (Shaman, priest, druid, hunter.. + a pet) is pretty fun and challenging. The lobster fight in Slaves Pen was pretty creepy... =_=;

Just realized that the Fey Winds website doesn't have a forum. I thought it had. But then I can understand why you would want other threads here as well. Even though maby a FW-reader's WoW-thread would be a more suitable name for the thread, unless you'd like it to be a general WoW-thread. _________________ "Am I a man? Yes... Technically I am." |

Lawl, I've deleted a lot of my alts just to clear some space. All my characters are on the server Draka *except Kokono* although I leveled all my alliance characters on Emerald Dream, Jekylle was moved to Draka because I'm stupid. I'll only mention alts that aren't lower levels. Vat was my first character, Hauc was second, Jekylle, Zin and then Negativity and Kokono at the same time.
Main raiding character: Hauc, 70 troll priest. I LEVELED HOLY FROM LVL 1 HAHAHA...
Main PVP character: Vatallanii, 70 undead lock. I leveled destruction...I like to be complicated when I level and believe me, its hard to solo as destruction. Your voidwalker is worthless.
Alts on horde: Zindel 70 blood elf hunter and Negativity 34? tauren druid.
Alts on Alliance: Jekylle 63/64 *don't remember* night elf druid and Kokono 51 night elf druid.
I've played all the classes to at least 20 several times EXCEPT lawladins because they're so friggmugen slow. |

Yeah, Lekkit, that's it, I don't have a website on my personal site, so this not only a tomgeek forum, but a mini-community forum for the folks who read FW. That's why I'd hesitate to only talk about the comic here, since there are a bunch of people on my shoutbox who might want to talk about other stuff here. But on the other hand I don't want to alienate new readers (or tomgeeks who don't read FW) by making this an exclusive club by having all the threads start with "fey winds readers' etc"
I'll post a sticky about this later and try not to make it too confusing!
ps: Adam O_O Them's a lot of toons!! (our priest levelled discipline from 1-60 XD) _________________

I don't want you to alienate people either, it's just that I got the impression that you created this thread because you found out your readers played WoW. And since you put it here, because this is the mini-community for the FW-readers, I thought that you wanted it to be for the FW-readers. But honestly now that I think about it it seems quite stupid to suggest that you should've named the thread FW-reader's WoW-thread, since this is the FW-forums. However it does feel a little bit like you're leaving the non-FW-readers out. Especially if there's a gaming section (although there's none ATM). _________________ "Am I a man? Yes... | It's true that this is mostly a thread for FW readers (since I don't have forum space of my own), but I will suggest a forum for gaming for the whole tomgeeks forum. If there were a gaming forum, I think I'd still have this thread here, since right now as opposed to all the other founders, my readerfolk don't have a place to chat! (Besides here and a small shoutbox) |

I used to play on RP servers, mostly Alliance. I had a character called Binkie Leathersole who was a gnome tailor. She was very fun - a case of major amnesia + dark and mysterious past + dating a demon-posessed warlock = happy times for all. xD
The RP servers were full of win, except for all the n00bs that came on them and refused to RP. It's just so... they have like 10x more servers than we do, so why do they have to come bother us?
Don't play WoW any more, though. |

I quit WoW just when summer ended. I had a lvl 70 human UA lock on Destromath, but when school started I didn't really have the time to raid, which was the sole reason why I hadn't quit until that point. I probably woud have quit in a few more months anyway. _________________ In the beginning the universe was created. Doom: that sounds awesome XD I'd love to play on an rp server, but I only have time to play a few hours a week with buddies (we're on Exodar, a PVE)... and RP wouldn't have been fun for my friends who speak mostly french. But maybe I'll start another character up once my druid hits 70 XD
Zarkin: I'm glad I didn't have an account when I was in school >_< I prolly would have quit too, since WoW is basically the Dark Side O_o _________________

I quit and recently came back to WoW, my pally(Horde) on Ravenholt, RPPVP server, just hit 60 this week.
My main before was a 70 druid (ally), I also had level 60s priest and hunter(Who never got leveled because I quit as soon as I started raiding again on my druid...). They were on enoar, PvE server.
The biggest difference between RP servers and normal servers I've noticed is... you find a lot more 12 year olds. Literately, I don't remember EVER meeting 12 year olds on my PvE server, yet they tend to pop up all the time on the RP server. Ravenholt sucks though, I don't think anyone roll there. But then again, the reason it sucks is because it has such a low population, so roll on Ravenholt please? |
