Trading Post #1 [Kick-Off]

Sorry I took so long... life gets in the way of fun stuff sometimes. =P

So, I'm going to try this Trading Post thing. The Revised Rules are as follows:

1] The week's "TP Queen" will post links to images of her character as well as any information she'd like to provide (I'll be the first TP Queen to get us started)
2] Anyone who wants to participate can create their own original picture of the TP Queen's character and post it in that week's thread.
3] the TP Queen will choose the next TP Queen based on how well she thinks the artwork represents her character.

Aaaand... I present to you Hzinapouri! She's an alien (with an annoying name!!) =D And she's the character featured in my avatar.
Name: Hzinapouri (zeen-a-POUR-ee)
Species: Kharn (a war-mongering, reptilian race like most evil aliens)
Personality: Hzinapouri is really intense. She has mood swings and she does things on a whim. If the palace walls need to be purple, gosh darnet they better be purple (her favorite colors are purple, white and silver).
Appearance: Her scaly skin is orangy-yellow and her eyes are light blue with black "eye-whites." Her tattoos are dark purple (see ref sheet), and her head-sac is violet. She wears as much or as little as she likes, and she loves jewelry. See the sketches for body shape and conformation. =)
Background: She became Queen of the Kharn when her young husband, Prince Ahrune, selected her when his father died and he became king (the new king must choose a bride, even though he's probably got his own harem already, depending on his age, and the babies born of her are the ones next in line to the throne). The king is younger than she is, but not by all that much. He pretends he's in charge, but he's really not. She is.

Your character is so different from what I'm used to drawing. I'll update this post once I have it as finished as I have the patience for.

There is my picture. I didn't add the little charm she had hanging off her skull/crown thing because I wasn't sure what it looked like...and I did forget to finish a few squiggles on half of her dress and didn't notice until I was done. Sorries! D:

Please, go for it, be creative, do what you like! I mentioned that she wears "as little or as much as she likes," so go ahead and make her some clothes/jewelry of your own design. =D

You say the Kharn are very warlike, so does the queen ever participate in battle of any sort? Or even do combat practice as a pastime? (I'm talking with hand-to-hand weapons, fencing/sparring kind of thing) She seems like the right species and personality type for that kind of thing.
